have you guys heard about how the playstation 3 development is doing? they've put stuff in that thing i didnt even know existed.

tons of videos and screens to looks at. near the end you'll see all the physics engines, capabilities, etc. It's insanity, pure insanity.
i thought xbox360 was good, but this is just plain insane. the estimated retail price 4 months ago was $600 USD. now it's up to $900...

I wouldn't be holding my breath for the PS3. I read several stories that indicate the earliest it will come out is fall. First is cost. a company that reverse engineers electronics to find out production cost has said that, going by published specs, the cheapest they could build it for was $950. That build cost and doesn't include distribution and retail mark up. Stand to reason seeing how single disc Blu-Ray players are going to retail at $1500 plus. And have been delayed. Due to the fact the anti pirate security has already been broken. So it could be awhile before we see a PS3. But Sony could just through a billion dollars at it and get out. Some of the games do look pretty cool though. 8)

That's some crazy stuff, very cool, never been one for consoles though, unless my gf's in the mall shopping for clothes, i head over to EB and zone out on the XBOX 360 for an hour :)

I will play mine but Ben will have to watch untill he can pay his off! I will let him touch the box once a week though untill he does pay it off. By that time pS4 should just about be comming out and we can start the procedure over :P

Mr. Pickles I could not agree more with what you say! Ben drives me nuts with these consoles! Problem is I just love him to death and he wangles them out of me! The xBox 360 i thout was exspensive at 500.00 but we where not done as Ben said we need the 20.00 Gb hard drive 125.00 and than the mic $30.00 oh a wireless controler was next $58.00 than the usb battery charger $30.00 after breaking the headset another was in order but we got the box with xbox points and 25.00 coupon for a game 79.00 and of course had to participate in that deal which we paid for already so another game but it was only 45.00 out of pocket! Now we have the wirles capabilities! Im grinning as i have a usb micro wireless adapter but the grin fades after we dis cover it does not work with XBox 360? :? I refuse to pay 106.00 for a wireless adapter so i run a hard wire to it instead! Trust Bill gates once again and he empties your pockets! At least he is consistent.

I can only Imagin what Ps3 will cost in the end if it is thought to be 1000-1500 now! Scary thought..... so maybe i will back peddle and only take one!

I have vowed to never buy another PlayStation after what happened to my ps2(broke down in 105 days,15 days after the warranty ran out :evil: ). After that I bought an Xbox(in Jan. '04),and have yet to have ANY sort of problems with it, so I'll probably buy a 360,and plus 360 may not be as powerful but it does have two things that ps3 doesn't have: Halo 3(WOOHOOO! :P ),and Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion(YAY! :D ).Oh, and don't forget abut LIVE.

yea sept for the 360 still has some glitches to work out. id wait a while till mircosoft does a re-release cause they just pushed the 360 out to they could get a head start on the ps3

I go tired of cousole wars because of PS1 nin64 and some of the handhelds by the end the same games were released for all and there were no games for replay ability so I stick with comp and to be true it hass been a lot cheaper.

NO, but on a 42 inch plasma you will see a pleasing difference!

I am going to set it up on the projection system and see how it looks for the heck of it 6ft X 10 ft will be interesting!

i think i'd get that for computer b4 i ever get that for a console :D

and there is a fairly big difference from xbox to x360. thing is in order to get the full blow you'll need a HDTV.

and like strider said, the x360 is having lots of problems, main one i'm hearing is it's overheating alot or something then shutting off :(

Yes,I have heard the horror stories about the 360 (just ask Wilson),but thats why you wait until they fix the darn thing and then buy it after a few months have gone by and the price has dropped.And I would DEFINITELY rather have Oblivion for 360.With consoles you dont have to worry about crazy system requirements(which Oblivion will probably have),and you can basically run it at max graphics without worrying about performance,and you also dont have to worry about installation hassles or re-installing stuff.And then there's the anti-virus updates which cause my computer to sometimes freeze in the middle of a garage rush :? .

Sony recently announced that release dae has been pushed back until late November. They refused to say if it would be all territories or just Japan. Rumor has it North America won't see it until Spring 2007. :(
