Please Play FF

Hi i would just like to say that i really love the new ff server and had a great time playing on it tonight with creatio and falker but iv noticed that is is very rare that anyone plays on it and bots are no fun. I make it a habit that everytime i come on to play CS:S i first sign on to the FF server for about 5min to see if anyone is playing or will join in this time i am dissapointed that it is very rare that anyone does and i would like to encourage people to play on the FF server more or atleast sign into it to see if anyone is playing

I totaly agree with you! We are looking into creating some sort of schedule at the present time that will get us utilizing all three Servers to promote there use.

In Saying that ! :D What does everyone think here! How would you like to see things on a schedule? 1 hour each night. 2 days a week? Do not Forget The Dods Server either! How would you like to see things handled!

Abudoggie and I were just discussing this very topic in PM. I believe we need to "seed" the server with a group of regular players before other players will join. Then we can establish a base of regular players just as we have on the 24-7 Office server.

We need some Think members to "seed" the FF server, and that means playing on a regular basis, not just one evening a week. I will be playing on the FF server almost exclusively and would like to see some others do the same. All we need are 10 players and all the bots will drop off!!! 8)

If you have ideas to make the FF server more interesting or challenging (e.g. unrestrict sniper rifles, reduce statrting cash to $800 default) please let us know!

I'm in. I really like the FF server and will play there more often than not going forward.

I have chatted with some of the regular non-Think players and there are some who prefer the FF server.

We have used the vote-FF option enough to familiarize players with FF.

One thought I had would be to make the FF server a 66tick server (default rate) like the DOD server is. That would improve hit reg but we may need to reduce slots to 24 or something like that. 100tick would be too much IMHO.

well i always find it funny that you guys vote for FF on the nonFF server. that means at least half the server wants it right? so why not all go to the other server when you all want to play FF?

I have found that it is more like 70-80 % that choose the FF Vote when it is put up. I never liked it but now that i see what it does for people am a believer! :shock: I see that it promotes better team playing for one and people get a chuckle out of it once they relize we are not going to hold it against them should theykill one of their own. This is the biggest reason i believe for its successs. I would go as far as to say those that vote no to it i will almost gurantee you have had poor experiences at other sites and where not been given the opportunity to practise with it. The only other reason are for those with great KD ratios that are concerned about ruinning their kdr ! :shock: I can only suspect that they do not play on FF servers and if they did we would not hear the complaints! :P just an observation. :roll:

Yes i too will be playing on the FF server exclusivly i find the map rotation refreshing after playing ofice for so long. I personly think that it should be more widly advertised that is there as there are many people who play on the normal server that have not signed up on the forums. Maby you could also make some new theems such as say a awp or para theem. Mostly i think that more people need to start playing there on a regular basis because they will find that FF makes the game much more interesting. i also suggest turning off the thing that deals damage to you and kicks your aim back when you shoot a friend as i find it is very anoing and gets you killed more often than it helps. Hope to see you out there.

I keep trying to play on the FF server, but I'm running into the common problem of not having anyone but bots to lpay with :( . I think that running a fairly regular advertisment through the 24/7 office server would increase flow. Also, if admins would dicuss the FFserver in game more often it would provide the publcity you are looking for. After all, that's how I found out about it :wink:

I will try to be more vocal about the FF server. I actually play there more than Office server. But it probably is good idea whenever the FF server is actually populated to drop in Office and let others know.

Im not on the ff server very much but it is always the first server i look at but almost always there are just bots. Im sorry seanix for not playing there very much and im going to change my ways, i promise :D . the problem is that i usually check that server right after school and that must be the time where evrybody else is either at school or work still. i like the idea of a schedule though because then we could all get together every once in a while. :D

I too will start playing on the FF server more, I haven't for the same reaosns, it's usually BOTS. I will also help push it out to the Office players and all other CSS players I know.

While your their promote the forums and direct people to sign up(register ) in the forums. Get them to bookmark or save in their favorites . Now is the time with people off to promote the website .

I am in total agreement, 1 thing i've noticed is if u change the map 2 dust or dust2 like 10 people will randomly join! :D

i havent played on the FF server except for with bots so i dont know if you have it like this or not...but i seriously recommend a very short kill spawn attackers time...i got so annoyed on one server because it lasted about 20 seconds and i would nick my temmate and i would die for it!

also i kind of enfoy a little FF war once in a while if that is a possible theme it's always fun to just turn and shotgun a teammate in the face every once in a while...but that's just me...no im not a maniac killer dont worry...

Office is the best map for CS:S, but I am afraid that it's going to get boring at some point. I've only played for a month and still far from bored.

But I would prefer to play different maps every now and then. One day everyone (mainly THINK players) were talking about playing DOD later that day. I went and bought the game just so I could join in. I figured that if it was fun enough for people to quit playing Office to go play it, must be good.

Schedules and just talking it up in Office would help immensley I think...no pun intended.
